Three-phase asynchronous motor, with a rated voltage of 380 volts, is powered by a three-phase AC power supply. Its principle is similar to that of a DC motor and it is mainly used as a power source in the industrial field.
The main components of an electric motor are the stator and the rotor. The stator is composed of three-phase symmetrical winding coils. The rotor of a three-phase asynchronous motor is mainly made up of conductive rods, which are themselves non-magnetic. When the stator's magnetic field rotates, the conductive rods on the rotor will cut the magnetic field lines, thereby generating an induced current. Under this effect, the motor rotates.
